Deus Ex - Storyline Summary (Game Plot Dialogue)

(Ahead of time, if you have never played the game and don't want any spoilers turn the video off now and go play the game before you see this video! The game is much more in-depth than what I have in this 30 minute video.)

Basically this video is a mashup of all the key dialogue in the game that I thought was of value that could fit into about thirty minutes. I figured with the prequel of the game coming out in a few months many people would be interested at taking another look at the original storyline to prepare for it.

The game has at least 5-8 hours of dialogue total, so I am sure I missed a few things that some would like to see in there. My original video came out to about an hour and a half, but I didn't think very many people would want to sit through a feature length Deus Ex movie so I cut the video down significantly.

Now with regards to the ending of the game, let me say this upfront I did not choose to go with the Deus Ex 2: Invisible War ending where JC decides to merge with the AI. I really was not impressed with the second game because it seemed to lack depth in gameplay, and the storyline felt shallow and unrealistic. In my opinion, they would have done much better to stick with the ending I chose or the Illuminati ending. Both of those would have made the game much more interesting instead of making JC an insane ai/human that wanted to be dictator of the world. Don't get me started on the Templars or the Omar.

In the coming days or weeks I will upload also the playthrough of the game that I had to do in order to get all of these clips.

pps. I know the audio is slightly out of sync towards the end, but it is the best i could do. I had to reupload this about 4 times before youtube got even close to the sync that the video is supposed to be. This one I switch from MP3 to Nero AAC. Go figure why that got closer than mp3.

got Deus Ex when it first came out years ago but didnt really appreciate it and never completed it, got Human Revolution 2 days ago and just completed it, could anyone tell me if Human Revolution is set before the first Deus Ex (spoiler) just askin cuz ov a thing after Human Revolutions credits where Bill is talking to megan about a virus or sumthin makes me think that Human Revolution is set first plz tell me so i can be botherd playing Deus Ex 1 again cheers

@mushroomjay No, I didn't use cheats, but if there is a change it could be due to the Shifter Mod. It makes slight changes to the game, but nothing radical in most cases.

Invisible War takes place roughly 20 years after Deus Ex 1.
