Jazz improvisation at its finest! Trane's solo is absolutely sublime the way he paints all those colors into the spaces between the changes. I love the point where Monk drops out and lets him play with just the bass and drums. Amazing!!

Trane made the implicit explicit. Monk made the explicit implicit. Perfect match, though Charlie Rouse (usual Monk saxist) gave the whole game a run for the money, sometimes monkin' the Monk. Kinda nutty, huh?
