Some former residents of the Florida School for Boys believe the more than 30 unmarked graves at school are the bodies of boys abused and killed there in the 1960s. Nearly half a century later, Governor Charlie Crist has ordered an investigation. (Dec.15)
A lot of leg work to do before they whether to exhume any of the graves??? You mean like losing the rest of the paperwork to prove who was buried? And who did the burying? FL State officials have been in charge of this school since its opening in 1897and are still in charge at this time - July 26, 2011. If they were going to do something about the abuse, wouldn't they have done it sometime within the last ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR YEARS??? When are they going to bring justice against these people???

FL gov. says investigated, were graves exhumed? Records can be falsified.Seems FL's doing more to cover up vs. uncover what might have happened.Doesn't FL care about youth that are starting to get into trouble&rehab. while they are still young and usually redeemable? FL is a dangerous state;its policy of being tough on crime is counterproductive. My sister arrested 2Xs for DUI in FL,has turned life around, but FL refuses to seal her record making it hard for her to get work. She left&works in NYS.

I was there in 1984. Everyone called it Gladiator school back then. The reason was because you had no choice but to learn how to fight once you got there. There was no rehabilitation just fight to survive till you got released. The guards would let fights go on till someone was unconscious or near dead. We all knew the terrible history of the place but I had no idea about the graves. You could just tell it had an evil past.

You are an apologist for torture. Congratulations.

Words cannot adequately describe the intensity of the pain inflicted by these floggings. In my own case the nightmares lasted well into my thirties. The only factor that mitigated my own torture was that I'm not black. The black kids never walked out of the White House on their own two feet they were dragged unconscious or semi-conscious.

you are naive if you think it was a catholic school... I went to Catholic school my whole elementary school and middle school life and NOTHING like this happened EVER... until you know facts dont bother commenting

Where did this come from? This torture was conducted by white men on white boys.
