i just picked up my first tattooing gun about three weeks ago and i've been practicing like crazy. it comes naturally to me. i have looked and looked for years now for an apprenticeship and haven't found any so i'm going to teach myself and so far its working successfully for me. i do reccomend tattoo apprenticeships but still. like jammerjawz said if you're good, AWESOME if not, practice.

Here is a perfect example of a self proclaimed "tattoo artist" that thinks he is the King Dingaling just because he knows how to tattoo. Where does all of his anger come from? My guess is he has a lot of hostility toward the tattoo artist that gave him an appreticeship. If you are good at what you do then God Bless you. If not, practice. Either way, don't let some a-hole like thanksdad13 tell you that the only way to learn is to put up with his shit for a year! HAHAHA!
