Video of a mock disaster held with local first responders. The chemical involved is Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride. A very hazardous chemical in liquid or vapor form.
If you're splashed with dilute hydrofluoric acid, it will feel like you've been splashed with water! Until several hours later when you look at your limb with injuries similar to frost bite.
@JPP2672 You're an idiot, why would you make such a bold and ignorant statement? Seriously, to make a blanket statement that you're going to die if you get a drop on you? there are things to consider, like concentration and certainly volume when determining the outcome and the outcome is still largely dependent on recognition of exposure an duration of time prior to treatment. Many people have delayed response injuries when HF acid is diluted and they come into contact with it,then its too late
@jqlzp Oh no...If the strength is high enough you'll feel it right away. I have only ever had it on me once but had been diluted to maybe 1% or less, That took about 16 hours to show up. Even at that it took medical attention!
Oh yeah, you can feel it.!! Imagine your hand on a stove burner. That's how HF feels when you come in contact with it. the few people i know that have come in contact with it have explained it to me this way.
@jqlzp LOL??? A drop...one drop.....of HF, a little larger than a a quarter, and you're not gonna make it. The good news is....your gonna die.....the bad news is...its a painful death...It depletes your body of calcium. HF is bad, bad, bad, nasty stuff.
