I been meaning to play Boktai 3, seems awesome but I feel I should play the other 2 first, even though that didnt affect my enjoyment of Lunar Knights. I've wanted to see the hack series, to see if I'd like it but I have a feeling its going to be one of those one button hack 'n slash (pun unintended >_>) games, where you just hit X repeatedly, as opposed to other buttons too.

Not at all, actually. It's as much a "mash x" game as any RPG, which is to say, it isn't.

Boktai 3. LOVED the first and second one! And since this was a Japan-only release, it'll be interesting to see how it is.

I've played Boktai 2 as well as Boktai 3. I say that playing Boktai 3 will not ruin anything. As for Lunar Knights, the American version's story has nothing to do the Boktai series.
