With weed, you don't go into a clumsy stupor like alcohol does. And more Vets came back alcoholics that marijuana users. But alcohol is legal, and people like you think that makes it ok.

I think your confusing what someone should do and what some people did. Some men DID in fact go out on OP's drunk. I didn't say ALL did, but some did. And those that did were more dangerous due to the effects of alcohol.

@SONofAnamVet That is completely false. What matters is the gender of the plant. If the plant is female than you can get high from smoking it, no matter where its growing.

I never said all men that where drunks in the nam (witch was rare) wernt/didnt go out. but most were left in the rear and or if cought getting drunk in the field were mostly got a court martial. you gotta remember movies are wrong compared to what really happend in nam,in a film you see guys drinking beer all the time,but you were only allowed 1 coka cola and 1 beer per day after coming back from the field. thats on base anyway.

What you probably have is Hemp growing. Trust me, if you had true Marijuana growing the jack boot'ed thugs from the DEA would have swooped down and hung your ass already. And if its a true marijuana plant that grows buds, you CAN get high from it.

you dont know much about nam do yah? you dont go out if your cought drunk or stoned. not that many ppl drank or smoked shit in the field just a hand full of ppl. and most of those drunks didnt start becoming drunks until they came home, it was some guys way of dealing with whats going in their head.
