Memphis IBC 2011 - George Schroeter & Marc Breitfelder - the winners - 2nd film

The third act, and the winners, in the series from the finals of the solo / duo category of the 2011 Memphis International Blues Challenge were George Schroeter & Marc Breitfelder from the Baltic Blues in Germany.

George Schroeter -- piano / vocals
Marc Breitfelder -- harmonica

For the story, I met Marc in 1993 at the Trossingen Internation Harmonica championships.
We were both participating, and got on quite well in the lead up to the contest.
I ended up playing guitar for him, and he came in second...damn, i was so proud of myself.

The IBC guide book paragraph says :
«...a piano player who can express himself in such a variety of ways and with such skill that the audience is always swept away. Marcs harp performance is just unbelievable ; he redifines the chromatic scale with his spécial overblowing technique and so explores new dimensions in the field of blues harp playing. »

These guys are the first Europeans to win the IBC
