A Hollywood movie producer 'Isaiah Saxon' who made the video "Wonderlust" for Björk.. is an OSE 'True Fan' and has made a 2minute explainer video of the 'GVCS' - Global Village Construction Set. He put five days work into it out of pure passion for the project! It really gets our GVCS message across in a short and very concise way:)
The purpose of the video is for entry into the "Buck Minster Fuller Challenge". But of course we will use it in all future presentations and marketing of this direction:)

  • I'm an engineering student about to start my last year. Do you have design criteria listed for each of the machines you have yet to build? It might make for a good senior project if you don't mind a little help.

  • @jag9998 Please get in touch thought the website - opensourceecology(dot)org(slash)join(dot)php

  • hmmm.... with all the used and obsolete machines, tractors, riding mowers, etc, just piled up and sitting around waiting to be scrapped, why re-invent the wheel? why not recycle technology and machines and re-adapt them? That would be WAY cheaper that building everything from scratch, not to mention all the infrastructure you have to build (welding tables, jigs, etc.) and all the expensive materials you are using (i saw a lot of new steel there being cut up) just to begin to make the machines!

  • @apexironworks Most heavy equipment including trucks and implements have a long life in service. Undercarriages are rebuilt ,engines are rebuilt or replaced and generally the machines are used to a point where it is no longer cost effective to rebuild. I think the simplicity of what they are offering here is what makes it an affordable option.

  • @apexironworks Trash ain't free once it gets to the Dump, those my metal hunks of junk Son. And You aren't "rrreeee-addapptin" nothin'.

  • Very cool! I know some people who would love to have some of those machines.

  • @apexironworks the scrap metal industry buys most of these old and obsolete machines, scraps the metal.. then sells it.. chances are most of the metal these guys are using are just that, scrap metal.

  • What about my remote control lawn mowers?

  • where does all the gas come from?
