i only thought there were three adventure island's! i need the 4th now!!! they are such hard games though. i'm almost 22 and i still can't beat them.

@mattkyle99 Yea I'm pretty sure 4 was released in Japan only. You could probably find a translated copy somewhere online I'm sure.

4 NES games, gameboy games, 2 SNES games and TG16 game, a Gamcube and PS2 game, a Wii game and multiple cellphone games....I don't think he has vanished.

@Dinosaurprince True. But, the 'Adventure Island' series, which is pretty much a rip-off of Super Mario Bros., was never as successful or popular as the Mario franchise. Which is why the bitter Master Higgins is still stuck in a trailer without a decent paycheck.

Adventure Island was a much more better, and challenging game back in the day.

I never liked Mario ,because my first game was AI 2 and after Mario. The second and third Mario game was just mediocer for me. AI>All SMB games.

@funtimefilms Adventure Island wasn't really a rip off of Super Mario Bros., it was a direct port of the arcade game Wonder Boy. If by rip off, you mean "it features a character that moves from left to right jumping on platforms" then you could say Super Mario Bros. was a ripoff of the arcade game Pacland, which was released before it.
