Arnie impersonating Christopher Walken?
-
Is that Borat doing Walken ?
-
Nowhere NEAR as funny as Jackson's read.

Sorry, I wanted to like this but.... he's trying too damned hard. Walken is very distinct and hard to pull off so trying to speak in the same way is difficult... trying to improv the way Walken would without having a firm grasp on the basic impression is what really kills it.

As good as this guy is with Christopher Walken's voice, he missed one huge habit Walken has when he reads scripts. I saw an interview of him once. He said when he first gets a script, the first thing he does is remove all the punctuation before he reads it. This guy is reading line by line exactly like the book, but he is very good still.

@herbiesnerd Nice Walken habit detail. We actually recorded the entire book and this habit of his is more present in other poems that we unfortunately had to cut for overall narrative improvement. If you are on SoundCloud I'll share the full uncut audio version with you.

I understand and appreciate your efforts and apologize for my snooty tone earlier. You are obviously a good guy and don't deserve the flack you've been getting for all the work and expense you put into this project. It was a good idea - don't let the assholes grind you down.

@muffinhauser No offense taken. But appreciate your sentiment. As F. Lebowitz once wrote, "When it is necessary...to go out of the house (virtually speaking in this case), [one] must be prepared...to deal with the unpleasant personal habit of others."

@muffinhauser Happy to repeat: No offense taken. But appreciate your sentiment. Paraphrasing Fran. Lebowitz, "When you go out of the house (virtually speaking in this case), [one] must be prepared to deal with the unpleasant personal habits of others."

If you feel compelled to do this, get the master Kevin Pollack, who can out C,W.Christopher Walken.
