Dean Gold of Loyola Law School gives a great introduction for Judge Okamoto and talks about the special programs his school has for veterans. A co-organizer of this event had invitations sent out to the Japanese American Korean War Veterans (JAKWV) by a student group at UCLA. General John Singlaub was originally scheduled to speak, but due to illness had to cancel. Nevertheless, Judge Okamoto filled in and captivated the audience with his humor and wisdom, as he talked about being a lawyer, a judge, and a veteran; then he encouraged us to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Read his graphic historical novel, "Wolfhound Samurai."
