Victoria Bald Eagle Nest Sites

It's fledging time! On July 12 I spent the day in the Victoria, BC, Canada area touring around several wild bald eagles nest. It's time for the eagle babies to make their first flights. On two of the nests (ie: Sidney) we know for a fact that it was the baby's first ever flight because there is a 24 hour live web cam set up filming.

In downtown Ottawa, across the street from us there was a nest of peregrin falcons. They had a webcam watching the nestlings there too. Once we saw a falcon chasing a pidgeon past our window. :)
