  • I specifically searched this just for the comments.

  • @DoctorSess not true man, nazis called themself socialism but they're not. Socialism is the opposite of fascism, as you may know, hitler was a fascist. They only called themselves socialist because it's a nice term in other languages except english. Fascism is the far right, Capitalism is in the middle, and Socialism is in the left.

  • @Eddyfromhell but in the sense that people mean when they accuse Obama of being a socialist or even communist is that he represented increase in government control over the economy and the banks. im sure the ideals of socialism/communism were great until the powers that be got their hands on them. We saw what the nazis did with socialism and what can happen when those in power have the opportunity to abuse that power. Now we see what damage can be done when they get their hands on capitalism...

  • @DoctorSess No, Socialism is a philosophy-sharing-caring-loving for others. Socialism is not a form of government. Unless you are talking about Communism, even that Communism is an economic system not a form of government. In order to have Communism, the government doesn't have to control everything, you can have democracy and communism at the same time. I think you are thinking about utopia. I am not a communism but just feel like explaining.

  • @banditosyanquis typo. happens to everyone.

  • @banditosyanquis Department Iraqi deaths estimates range from around 54,000 to 150,000, and the number Americans dead is around 4,000. Thats, at the most, 154,000. Your way off.

And thats significantly better than the 1.3 million dead because of Saddam, and the tens of thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands of americans who faced an immanent threat from Saddam Husayn.

  • Answer to the Question: No.

  • i was under the impression that socialism is in a nutshell Government Controlled Industry (BIG govt)...in that sense Obama IS socialist. If I am wrong tell me why?

  • karl marx theories have everything to do with socialism, his views on politics, economics, philosophy and social science have all been used by advocates of socialism although many of his views have been distorted by others , the Paris commune was the closest to his idea of socialism

  • the marxist theory had nothng to do with socialism, but yea your right America isnt socialist, Some socialist governments would be sweden and denmark. Higher taxes, but better public needs life free heath care.
