This was the ill fated trip that only made it as far as Exeter. The two locos were 76079 and 34067. The locos ran tender first from Minehead to Taunton. After running round here we see the train depart.

  • @cleckheatoncentral I was thinking the same my friend, what did they do let the passengers out near Poole and walk ???? A dearly missed line.

  • @cleckheatoncentral They have restored many lines the thief Beeching ordered abandoned

  • Good vid.

  • @steamtrains3 BoB and WC class locomotives were always prone to slipping due to their high power versus weight, even in BR days. If you want to know about poor engine handling look up what happened to Blue Peter in '94.

  • Sorry for sounding dumb...but the S&D shut in 1966!!

  • I was also on that tour, the worse train tour ever!

  • gr8t vid they should train there drivers properly i was on that tour first coach 76079 always slipped when-ever it started
