Ah...fond memories of Kia-ora cartons and poorly made adverts for local businesses.

  • Pearl & Dean actually said that they daren't change the iconic tune because they would probably be lynched.

  • @VengaboysRbackINtown This ident went out in 1996! What a run, 24 years!

  • Did they use this in the 80's too? They must have because I'm sure I remember it.

  • @Pheonixfromtheshale LMFAO Yer, christ, seriously curry ad must have been in every god damned cinema in the country LMAO

  • Experience the best in Chinese cuisine - in comfortable surroundings at Ming-Yin, Market Place, Macclesfield. Carry out service also available, Telephone 6234.

Remember the movie stills on display outside the cinema in the glass case? If you were lucky, you might get a seat in the circle with a packet of Opal Fruits. Better still, you might wangle a Birds Eye Supermousse at the interval, then lob the round cardboard lid off the balcony at someone in the stalls - sorry if it was you btw (eeek).

  • "You can't bargain with a judge, but you can judge a great bargain ! come to Chalkwell Park Motor Company for you next used car, just around the corner from this cinema....................

  • it so boring today the eighties really was top notch, you can stick the noughties !!

  • Me and my mates got chucked out of the cinema for dancing in the aisles to this screaming the tune at the top of our voices before it came on ahead of the 1st Superman film in '78.....

  • God the world seemed a big exciting place as a child in the Quinton cinema in the 70's, what a pratt I was! I also thought what I saw at the Cine 180 tent at Alton Towers represented real life in foreign countries!

  • @Pheonixfromtheshale Don't forget your local carpet superstore.
