Prior to recording this video, I loaded a midi file into Logic Express. I stripped it down to 2 tracks due to the fact that the Korg microSAMPLER's sequencer is limited to 2 channels.
I connected the microSAMPLER to the computer via usb. Using the microSAMPLER Editor/Librarian software, I imported the Standard Midi File to Pattern No.1 then selected 'Transmit to Current Bank'.
In this video, I sampled the sound of a wooden spoon hitting 2 tuned glasses. I assigned them as follows:
Red Glass = Channel 1 (Global) to B5
Blue Glass = Channel 2 (Keyboard) to C3
I then pressed play on the pattern sequencer (set to No.1)
and you can hear the result at 1:05
There's a cool sampling feature that pitch shifts every blank key to the left of the assigned sample key across the board. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's a real time saver.
