  • I'm sorry you feel that way; I feel that way about other things at times. But in this instance, if you look at the performers on stage, they don't look Filipinos; I think only 1 or 2 on the ground are. And if you had been at the event, you'd have seen that this was meant as a multi-cultural show, with Asian/Polynesian dances performed by Chinese, Hawaiian, whites, blacks, etc. The Poly. dances were presented by a dance school so you'd have seen white girls dancing Polynesian as well. Thanks.

  • What's so funny about a Polynesian dance teacher? There's no joke about how Polynesian dance teachers love what they do and like to share their culture. So would you laugh at the dance teachers of Nonosina, Hui Tama Nui, or Manutahi? That is the sole reason those groups exist: they love to share the culture with EVERYONE, and to them it's no joke. They're PROUD of their culture. I'm sick of hearing people complain about non-polys dancing tahitian, hula, maori, etc. Culture is meant to be shared.

  • bla bla, you just justify your views by saying polly this polly that, this is tahtitian, not tongan or samoan, so follow ur own advice, and keep to what's urs! And who are you to speek for all the islands and it's people? ANd what do you know about filipino doing only tahitian and not their own dances? What about the latinos, and all the ''white'' people that are doing tahitian dance? Or is it just us filipinos that are not alowed? Seems like racism to me!

  • oh god, nice try but this is not polynesian dance.....

  • lol, I sure you do, but I bet non of them are tahitians! And you know what...SERIOUSLY! GET OVER IT, or you'll really seem like a racist, which I belive you are! And don't even bother to reply! I've no respect for people like you!

  • Who am I to speak for all the islands? LOL Sorry to tell you but A LOT of Polys feel this way. How do I know? Because A LOT of us Polys hang out with eachother. But white and Latino are not like the Filipinos. They also do their own dances also. Latinos do their sexy salsa dances and etc. White people do their country dances and Irish dances etc... Filipinos here in America? I have yet to see a Filipino do a nativce Filipino dance....and if you see one....It is a rare moment.
