  • I'm surprised the Third Bridge didn't get knocked off.

  • Wow, awesome, first time I've seen this. Impressive how real they made the ship, you really start to root for it, lol.

  • Yamato addiction is a wonderful thing.

  • Can you just imagine a scene like this on the big screen with todays special effects.

  • True, but if they'd been serious, you know they would have had their WMG's charged and ready to fire....and etc- but really..at points like that- yea, you could, but there's nothing to gain that you don't know. So, they let them by...because gettign into p*ssing fights with either the saviour of the Gamilus incident, or the newest in advanced Earth Tech....really ...isn't worth doing. Not in the end.

  • Sorry to add to the Star Wars/ Yamato similarities...but I think the Nimble Millenium falcon learned from the more than Nimble old Battleship. LOL

  • Awesome 7:40 !!

  • @aserta

My friend... they don't NEED to turn. But there are 3 reasons for doing that:

1 - Historicaly speaking ships tend to do that to maximize the use of ther weapons, just look at historical naval battles.

2 - The psicological effect: considering Andromeda was "blocking" the way.

3 - The "awesomness" of the scene. ^^

  • @Sage2000 actually that was a big problem in the Japanese army during WWII. Junior officers tended to disobey orders they didn't like, it they thought the orders were not aggressive enough.

Its amazing the respect japanese have for elders and authoroty. Very nice sceene.
