Strange Creatures Tigon White Tiger Hummingbird Cecropia Moth Luna Hawk Butterfly rare wild
A tigon is a cross between a tiger and a lion. Beside its cage is a wolf spider. Also shows a rare white tiger eating a horse.
Video also shows two giant silkworm (Cercropia) moths mating on a cocoon. Extremely rare sight.
Cecropia moths are very rare here, so that it is amazing to even photograph two together, let along mating on a cocoon.
Hummingbird Moth Disguised as Bumble Bee (Clear Wing Sphinx Hawk insect). Although hummingbird moths are already disguised as hummingbirds, this one is further disguised as a bumblebee. These are moths that are active in the daytime.
Shows a Hummingbird moth, a real hummingbird, and a bumblebee all together at the same time. Also shows a giant sphinx moth at night in infrared light.
Video also shows a daddy long legs killing and eating an insect
This video shows the three kinds of hovering animals: moths, hummingbirds, and bats.
***Hovering "Some hawk moths, like the hummingbird hawk moth, hover in midair while they feed on nectar from flowers and are sometimes mistaken for hummingbirds. This hovering capability has evolved only three times in nectar feeders: in hummingbirds, certain bats, and these sphingids (Kitching, 2002) (an example of convergent evolution). Sphingids have been much studied for their flying ability, especially their ability to move rapidly from side to side while hovering, called 'swing-hovering.' It is thought that this evolved to deal with ambush predators that lie in wait in flowers (Kitching, 2002). (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sphingidae)"
***The Hummingbird or Hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum) is a species of Sphingidae. Its long proboscis, hovering behavior, and audible humming noise, make it look remarkably like a hummingbird while feeding on flowers. This resemblance is thought to result from convergent evolution. It flies during the day, likes bright sunshine, but also at dusk, dawn, and even in the rain, which is unusual for even diurnal hawk moths. Its has been shown to have a relatively good ability to learn colors
*** The cecropia are the largest North American moth and can have a wingspan of 6 inches. They belong to the family Saturniidae and can be referred to as silkworm moths. They are noted for their large size and striking colors and shapes. They normally attract a lot of attention, when they are encountered because of their size, coloration, and rarity.
***Giant Lunar Moth (Actias luna) is by far one of the most spectacular moths on the planet. It has a wingspan of up to six inches and the wings are a naturally fluorescent green color. A large iridescent "eye" can be seen on each of wing. These eyes appear to be open and staring at you. Each wing has a long, sweeping lower tail. The wingspan for Lunar Moths can be nearly 8 inches across. Finding a Luna moth is a treat. Luna moths belong to the Family Saturniidae, and are also known as Giant Silkworm Moths. They are named this because of their size and the silken cocoons in which they pupate
***Sphinx moths and hornworms are moderate to large in size and distinguished among moths by their rapid, sustained flying ability. Their narrow wings and streamlined abdomen are adaptations for rapid flight. Some look like delta-winged airplanes. The sphingids are some of the fastest flying insects, capable of flying at over 30 miles per hour. They can have a wingspan of 35-150 mm.
***The Imperial Moth (Eacles Imperialis) is a Saturniid moth, also called royal or regal moths. They are also known as giant silk moths and related to the cercropia moth. They are noted for their large size and striking colors and shapes. They normally attract a lot of attention, when they are encountered because of their size, coloration, and rarity.
***The black butterfly with white spots may be a Eight spotted forester (Alypia octomaculata).
***This may be the world's first report of hovering behavior in locusts. Very few animals have this agility, and it is unknown if it has been reported previously. Video shows two of the world's hoverers, the hawk moth and the hummingbird.
Transponder butterflies seem to identify each other with a transponder system. They quickly fly up into the air circling each other.
***The Pandorus Sphinx Moth, Eumorpha pandorus can have a wingspan of 4 1/2 inches. It is a beautiful moth.

@jennypenny626 Actually, it depends on which male/female combination that bred. Male lion and female tiger is the Liger, and male tiger and female lion is a Tigon, I believe.
