Hey Adam, new subscriber. About 3 yrs ago picked up three of these blankets for about $20 from CTD along with a 1/2 dozen 5 gal NATO fuel cans. Peace. Jim

Where ya been Adam?

Hard to fine 100% wool blankets but you can still find the 70 & 80% wool blankets.

Yeah I've been looking for ages, no luck. I might order a Woolrich Cival War blanket instead. Their Gettysburg model is about $90 but made in the USA and good quality.
-
Yeah bro, the Italian blanket is very hard to find right now. I can't seem to find anything worth purchasing.

@Equip2Endure After your review I ordered one of those blankets online. The shop said that these blankets had been treated by the Italian army with an insect repellent and that they should be washed before being used. Now the package has arrived and the blanket stinks like hell. It has been impregnated with naphthalene. Naphthalene is really toxic and not water solvent. I think I will sent the blanket back. Were your blankets ever impregnated with naphthalene?

@kuribo1 They've been out of the Italian wool blankets for a while now. They haven't even had the norm US military wool blankets for awhile.

Check out sportmansguide I believe in my catalog they have quite a few from different countries as well as sizes.

Awesome I was looking for one of these but couldn't find any until now.
(16 oz/lb) x (6 lbs) x ($1,655 spot gold) = ($158,880), an Italian wool blanket's true worth. lol

The wool comes from Merino sheep, I have no idea why we don't produce stuff of the same quality here
