it's like using your phone while driving basically.

@Membrane556 i couldnt agree with you less... (by the way there are knobs for the ac aren't there?) the point is - if you try to flick some switches on your dashboard where you have to stretch your arm with no elbow support while driving you can't do it with a steady hand so there's no precision to the movements + you have to look at it - not on the road, i think anybody who's done some pc gaming will agree idrive is better - it's like a computer with a mouse instead of some stupid touchscreen

@dontwalkhand most of the time i love audis interiors more than those of bm's but i fully agree that the mmi is just ugly and simplified for stupid people compared to the idrive...

@dontwalkhand does IDRIVE on the 525i 2005 bring navigation?

is that Arnold Schwarzenegger?

It's not hard to use it's just a complete pain to use while driving.
I'd rather have a knob or button for my AC vs digging though a menu.
I feel these type of things could cause traffic accidents.

Idrive is by far the easiest shit ever to use! When I first drove my 5 off the lot it took me to two stop lights to figure it out. You really dont need a manual people damn

ic why bmw is famous just like mercedes and audi
but when i see the bmw idrive seems hard to use , well i still love bmw i just think its hard

there is no car with touch screen ... the MB isn't touch and the computer in it sucks...ugly | The BMW idrive is way more nice and looks expensive
I first used the BMW iDrive in a 5 series, and fell in love with it right away, Audi's implementation of MMI is just ugly....BMW got it right, it is as easy to use as an iPod...I do not know what people are complaining about

you'll love that touch screen when it stops responding to your finger tips...
