14 year old girl beats boy in Point Sparring - Amkor Karate

this is POINT SPARRING for all those people out there who think its a fake fight. In point sparring you try and find ways to get into there defense and score points. They stop often to award points.

I was fighting for first and second place here. I beat this guy and won first place.

the guy has bad aim or he's just afraid to hit her. This is fighting. You guys say it isnt fighting just because you dont see people getting beat up, but hey if martial artists fought like this full power it would be intense. I've seen it, and I've done it...but in tournaments you get docked points for excessive force, you just go hard enough to make contact and get the points.

may not be fake fighting but on the streets noone is there to stop the fight when you have got in on someone.. continuous pays off much more

The Boy is really good on his feet and delivers more kicks then the girl. He understands he is much taller then her, and has much longer legs then her, so he uses them to his advantage.

if you look at the gi you see the black edges. that's typical for TKD gi and less common for karate. even thou there are many types and colors of gi.

many martial arts originates from other martial arts, that has nothing to do with my statements. tkd is not a branch of karate but based on many different styles. if you want to know that tkd read some about it before you speak! start with wikipedia...
