A total lack of irony, or an exaggerated sense of one?

Here's the show setup. To spice up her Show & Tell presentation, a little girl has told her class that the burgers at her dad's shop contain human remains from the crematory next door. The health department comes in and posts a warning. Cut to commercial.

Look at the commercial they ran immediately after this scene. Are you kidding me? This is a straight clip from the OTA broadcast (Channel 64, Providence, RI). No editing at all was done on the clip, it is a straight cut from the broadcast.

Is this brilliantly ironic, or does it demonstrate a total lack of irony? Is this really where a national chain wants this ad placed? Does anyone check these things out before they're run, or was it intentional and I have finally disconnected enough from the culture that I don't appreciate it as much as I once would have (i.e. I've become my parents)?

The health inspector says that they're going to test the meat and if it contains human flesh anything above the 4% allowable set by the FDA, they're going to close down his burger place. Copyright crap ruined the point you were trying to make, zooks527
