Pull a disabled climber over a long distance with 3/1 leverage. Unlike the block and tackle that requires a really long rope only a short working loop is needed so that a load can be pulled almost as far as the length of the rope. All you need is a 3oz plastic part to create an endless come along. Also required is a climbing rope and two prussics (rope loops). One prussic needs to be attahed to a secure anchor to work as primary lifeline. (RopeTie is not rated for primary lifeline and requires a safe backup).

  • Unfortunately I tried googling ATC but got nowhere. Can you explain what you mean?

  • A pulley would be good for leverage. The point of this is that you can let go at anytime and attend to other things or use one hand only.

  • how is this any different than using a 'biner at your lower prussik and an ATC at your anchor biner to tend your racheting prussik?

  • Wouldn't apulley be a lot quicker ???
