climber lifeline!

Pull a disabled climber over a long distance with 3/1 leverage. Unlike the block and tackle that requires a really long rope only a short working loop is needed so that a load can be pulled almost as far as the length of the rope. All you need is a 3oz plastic part to create an endless come along. Also required is a climbing rope and two prussics (rope loops). One prussic needs to be attahed to a secure anchor to work as primary lifeline. (RopeTie is not rated for primary lifeline and requires a safe backup).

Unfortunately I tried googling ATC but got nowhere. Can you explain what you mean?

A pulley would be good for leverage. The point of this is that you can let go at anytime and attend to other things or use one hand only.

how is this any different than using a 'biner at your lower prussik and an ATC at your anchor biner to tend your racheting prussik?
