To get the beads the best place is ebay really (for all the colours). In the UK you can get them in Hobbycraft stores, but the range of colours obviously varies at each store.
I mostly make videogame sprites, but I recently got a few more boards so I'm thinking about attempting a 4 or 6 board pattern :)
Very relaxing little hobby.

Hama Beads are available in 3 sizes mini, midi and maxi. The most regular is the midi.

Hama Beads is from Denmark and was previously sold in the USA as Perler Beads of the American distributor who also was Danish. They stopped working together for many years ago and the American distributor copied the beads and continued to sell them as Perler beads. Hama has now there own company in USA to distribute the Original Hama Beads.
