Well, you cant really make "backups", unless your talking about actually burning the xbox 360 game and copying it because that is far too time consuming and costs more money. I will tell you though, it is far more easier to actaully download the game off of the net, and burn it to a disk. I will give you a very quick guide.

Before you start, you need to have a few things.
First and foremost, You HAVE to have your xbox 360 flash modded. Its very complicated for me to explain, and i cant do that, nor have any knowledge of how to do that. You should ask around and try to find someone who can, or go google for xbox 360 modchip or something and find a website that will let you mail it in to be modded, then shipped back to you. Trust me, the price may be much, but it is so worth it, because you save so much money. (usually about $50 to $100)
Second, you MUST have DVD-R DL disks, DL stands for duel layer. Anything else wont work, as the xbox 360 only reads DL disks. You can find these disks at staples, or bestbuy. Walmart does not sell them, for some odd reason. Also, make sure you get the regular sized DLs, not the mini camcorder ones, you will know what im talking about once you start your search for these disks.
**They are very expensive, you can find 3 for $15, 20 for $30, 30 for $50 or so.

1st off, make sure you find a reliable site. I would say that torrent sites are probably pretty reliable, but if your not careful, and you get an iso(which if you dont know what that is, its basically a dvd file. Its pretty much a disk in file form) that is not secured with what is called a stealth patch. A stealth patch is a patch that has to be on the game if you ever plan to play the game while connected to xbox live. Torrent sites would be the least difficult, but if your anything like me your impatient, and dont want to wait a few days to completely download the game, but in a day instead. If that is the case, register with this website: xbox360iso com. You can find the xbox 360 games under the xbox 360 dvd download section. Navigate to a game you want, and if it has multiple links, download all of the links. Some have 4-7 links per game, and those are the best, but it will take a very long time to download a game if you dont have an unlimited download account on one of the host download sites it gives you. You may be thinking what the heck are you talking about? Well, as you follow the steps in this fairly detailed paragraph, you will start to understand what im talking about. After you have all the parts downloaded, right click on one of the (ex) 7 files, and hit extract here. It will then combine all the files and give you an iso file. Do not extract the final file you get out of these, as this is your iso file. It should have also generated some sort of text file with numbers in it, leave it be and just wait till a little later. Once you have an iso game file downloaded, you want to get xdvd mulleter. You can find it here http:// rapidshare com/files/58933334/XDVDMulleterBeta10.1.rar. extract and run the exe. it will give you a menu, hit view ISO details, and it will bring up a screen with a list of things and ticked boxes. Look at the one that says stealth sectors present. If its checked, you are 100% okay to play it on xbox live. If not, im not sure how to make a stealth sector, but you could probably find a guide online. Now, here comes the exciting part. Download IMG Burn. find it on imgburn com. Run it, and hit burn dvd or something like that, and navigate to the games location. click select or open, i cant remember which one but you understand what i mean, and burn it at x2-x4 or something like that. Make sure you burn it at a low rate, because if you have the burn speed way up, it will likely screw up the disk, and turn the disk into a nice drink coaster. when it says its finished, go pop it into your modded xbox 360 and whammy, there you go, a "backed up" xbox 360 game! :)

Good luck, and i hope this guide helped you!

  • Way to show your Gamertag during this video.

Microsoft will never catch you now.

  • You're either trying to play a Wave 3 game on iXtreme 1.50/lower or your Xbox was flashed incorrectly.

OR... you don't have a flashed Xbox.

  • There is a site where you can download iso's and burn to dvd's without flashing or modding. To me modding in any way is dangerous but do as you please. oh and Wal-Mart does sell Dvd R- and Dvd R+ DL and Cd R- Cd R+. I got a 10 pack for $9.

  • i ve chiped my xbox...now can i play online ori mcrosoft will ban me? (sorry if my english are bad)

  • Waisted My Time!!!!!

  • @adamruddockshrek Vertibams work flawlessly but if your cheap like me BUT have a newer disk drive go with Memorex they are a third of the price and work perfectly.

  • @alexbulluk I know this wasn't for me lol I have a drawer full of burnt games but I got rid of my box along time ago got a ps3 now.

  • @YoungiiAkAsumit flash you dvd

  • why not backup the game to the hdd and boot with the copy that way the game running is the original which is safely on the hdd and if your 'original disk' is damaged then you can boot using the copy wouldnt this stop you from being banned as the disk drive isnt being used at the point of playing?
