Lou Gramm performs his 1987 hit "Midnight Blue" at Wolftrap in Vienna,Virginia on August 23, 2008. The soundman did a lousy job of balancing the lead guitar louder than the vocals.

  • LOL. I love this song, Lou, and Foreigner, but this mix is truly awful. Guitar playing is not up to snuff either. Lou needs to cut down on the waffles as well.

  • I too wondered what the guys st the sound board were doing when I was viewing this live. The guitar was actually painful to listen to. After undergoing brain surgery and still being alive, Lou is welcome to eat whatever he wants.

  • His weight has nothing to do with over eating. It's all related to his brain surgery. His medication and gland issues from the surgery are his issues.

  • Thanks for your comments. Glad to see that there are understanding compassionate people out there versus some of the unkind things some unimformed post. I enjoyed the concert and was glad to have the opportunity to capture videos to share. Please check out some of my other videos.

  • soul-less guitar, imho

  • lou gramm was shafted by foreigner he is by far the best vocalist they ever had and is up there robert plant , sammy hagar just to name a couple

  • I will, and I wish I could see him again. His voice has been improving the more he sings. He sounds much better now than he did when he first started playing shows again. He has much more depth and harmony. It took him a while to re-learn his voice after the surgery.

I saw a documentary on him. He is lucky to be alive.

  • You know, I forgot about his brain surgery. Affected his pituitary gland too, as I recall, which would explain the weight. Sorry, Lou! Saw Foreigner a few years ago and they have a Lou soundalike, but it just isn't the same. Kinda like Journey sans Steve Perry.

  • i remember this song was in a penthouse video i saw when i was like 13, im just now figuring out who sings it. lol

  • hello all the "americans" who had the chance to see and hear Lou. So frustrated in Europe, but can understand..his health problems. Many thanks to allow us this pleasure. Love Lou Forever !!!
