based on true events of that time and the eyewitness was a journalist, who later wrote the book about that 40 days of heroism and struggle of this Armenian village, and turkish atrocities against the Armenian population in turkey.

Can i make an observation here the flag in the time 5.20 is wrong that flag was not the flag of the ottomans at that time that flag was later adopted in 1923 not 1900 or 1915 like i said just an observation here so no need to swear at me if you do not know or accept what i am saying

That's Ok, you don't speak or read Armenian, it will take a few months to remember your mother Language!

Just you need to set your mind to it!

And for the script, if you want to make it, I will find a Director who will love to film it and a Producer (better to be an Armenian) the rest is easy, my best friend Gagikangelo will do it!

great story.....bad... bad movie..it needs to be told right...good director screanplay...music is awful...where is the duduk...to me it is the soul of the armenian people...btw i read the book a long time ago...but you know im going to watch it any way..thanks for the invite..look forward to you friendship..PEACE...

i don't like how movie is made, but you are right, it's about the Armenian Spirit and the story of a Brave people, who stood up for what is right!

This story must be told in a better way!

As for Armenians who say "the genocide never happened", Armenia's first president wrote exactly that in his Manifesto (Vienna, 1926). However, his book has long since been banned from all schools and libraries in Armenia! I wonder why? R. Hovanasian is another, as is Roy Carlson. Like I said, get you head out from your butt and debate us like real men(oh yes, you "people' don't know what integrity & honor is, do you?)!

@SuliemanTheGreat do you think that's what you want ? any armenian 5 year old can debate about the genocide ! any Armenian can give you proofs and historical facts that the genocide has happened ! why aren't there any armenians writers who say that the genocide did not happen yet there are many turkish Historians and Writers and Reporters and Politicians that recognize the armenian genocide ... son sooner or later the world is going to recognize the armenian genocide and this is a fact !

I never understood why armenians keep hoping that some american would make this movie????? I mean get real, there are thousands of rich armenians all over the world, you should all be ashamed. I'm just shocked that this great story hasn't been properly made into a good movie!! All we need is some people who want to make this movie, it really isn't that big of a problem. I would be the first to help.

But every time, the Armenians always refuse, or on the one ocaission which they had agreed, they backed out by placing intense pressure on a New England PBS station that was to air the debate, causing the cancellation of the arranged debate!
