This five petal mini flower measures approximately 2-1/2 inches. I used a a 5mm size H crochet hook and 100% cotton yarn. Use this mini flower to make a brooch, make magnets, decorate cards, scrapbook page, baby clips for hair, baby headbands, etc..etc...

To finish the center simply sew a pretty button on the center.

  • Hi Carolyn - I think it's a great idea. I store my left over yarn by weight and type of yarn in zip lock bags. The possibilities for mini flowers are endless. Regards...Aura

  • this has been the easiest and best flower tutorial! thank you so much.. Can you show how to sew the button on. I have the hardest time with buttons and was hoping your could show me how.

    Thank you so much!

  • @db19812009 Glad you liked it. To sew the button, you can use all purpose thread using two strands. Make a knot at the end of the two strands. Position the button in the middle of the front, insert the needle from the back to the front twice, insert the needle once more on the back and make a knot by inserting the needle through the loop. (Basically just finish off by tying a knot on the back.)

  • Thanks so much for the video! This was super easy. I'm very very new to crochet and you didn't go too fast for me :)

  • @JenzoCL Really appreciate your kind words.

  • Hi there,

    I appreciate your tutorial.

    Thanks.

  • I will make it with long tails and usevit as a bookmark. A great idea for all that extra yarn you always have. It will made great little gifts or add to a gift.

  • Thanks for this! I had been looking for a smaller flower. FYI, You can add more petals or use less. I think this would make a really cute four-leaf clover in green.

  • @itsTINA09 Thank you for your kind words.
