@sjhabel what do they mean by the term ''beyoned nuclear''
-
wish I'd been diagnosed as a young child....I changed when I was two, after pressure on the brain.....

@gravelandgrain100 I would never judge a person on their illness, this is not something you blame someone for, it's an unfortunate illness. I plan to be their for my friend whenever he needs me to listen. Thank you for your comment though, it's a comfort to know we're not alone in this. =:)

be there for him, don't judge. and when he upsets you don't wad him up like piece of paper and aim for the waste basket. One of my best friends since jr high got involved when I was manic and hospitalized. She said she didn't believe the mental "mumbo jumbo". Called me a liar and told me never to speak to her again. I loved her dearly as a friend, but she chose to walk away. It is hard-my family can attest to 15 yrs of lost sleep and misery.

I think my friend is suffering from bi polar disorder and schizophrenia, I wish I knew how to help him...=:(

@ 2:45...I've said that so many times about my daughter. I at times feel no emotional bond with her because of all the things she does....it's sad!

i was classified with so much disorders, since the age of 13. now im very confused i was on so many antidepressants, antipsychotics. Seroquel was the worst, i am literally afraid and angry about that medication. Being diagnosed at a young age can totally fuck up your mind and make you wonder if you really have a disorder or not. I'm off antidepressants and antipsychotics. altho now people think i ahve add. im so confused, frustrated.hurt.

So you experienced psychotic mania and suicidal depression and deny bipolar disorder as an actual disease? Don't get me wrong, I don't support medication( or at least the current one) for it, nor do I don't believe that it can get better in any other ways, but the disorder does exist.
How could they describe a child as "beyond nuclear?" I have bipolar and do not consider myself nuclear or have I ever been, especially as a kid.

Beyond Nuclear also refers to the "Nuclear" family. Since the disorder is highly heritable, the problems and effects carried by the parent, the aunt, the great-grandfather. That's one meaning of the title. The other refers to those kids who show explosive behavior. A couple of other people have made similar comments to your, which has me considering changing the title. Thank you for your comment.

We are raising funds so we can complete the documentary by end of 2007. We are talking with a local PBS station about distributing it nationally on PBS. Go to beyondnuclear (dot)com for more info and to see how you can help.
