This girl is dead on. Im glad people are digging up the truth about Obamas anti abortion people.
And yes , these so called Christians who are pro abortion need to get called out. First we need to fight our own civil war (non violent) before we take on our enemies.

I thnk the way to overcome the "abortion attitude" is by way of education, e.g. making "ultra-sound" imaging mandatory before one can have an abortion. This gives the mother the ability to make an "informed" decision. Dr. Nathanson, a leading pro abortion figure in the repeal of abortion laws by the Supreme Court. In the 70's with "ultra-sound" the Doctor evebtually stopped abortions. He became "pro-life because of science" He wrote "Aborting America" and became a Catholic in 1996. Education!

I'm pro-abortion, got that out of the way. If you want to know why the Bishops and the RC church in general still accept the politicians you have to understand that EVERYTHING is politics, especially when it comes to organizations as large as RCism. Religion may be a system of belief/s for most who practice it but to their churches and clergy its a business, plain and simple.

@icommentpeople21 "a Catholic whos Pro Choice cannot claim to be Catholic. " Wrong, To be a Catholic and to follow the laws of the Church despite the laws of man is the reality that all Catholics have to accept. I don't know where you get your info from but look at the stats. The most Catholic countries accept abortion despite the rule of the church, Italy, Spain, France, Poland. You are saying that these people are not Catholic. Your interpretation of Catholicism needs reflection.

@icommentpeople21 Sorry, I did not mean that the pope makes things up, I was referring to the video. Anti abortion is a catholic doctrine. The past and current popes own words have made it clear that the laws of a nation are not necessarily the laws of the church and vice versa. As a Catholic I was always under the impression that to be Catholic meant that you had to hold yourself to a higher standard. The Catholic standard. If something is permissible by law, you still have to be CAtholic

@icommentpeople21 Being against abortion is one thing. Believing that your church has the right to dictate laws to the rest of a nation that is NOT your religion is another. This is why the clergy is against abortion but many Catholics are pro choice at the polls, but still anti-abortion IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE LIVES. Kind of like the way that Catholics have never tried to make condoms illegal or make it crime to eat meat on a Friday.

@o0face4radio0o ....Catholicism has a set Catechism that states the beliefs of all Catholics and is set in tradition. If you are going to preach a different belief, go ahead, but you cannot claim to be Catholic, as we uphold specific values. do not associate yourself with an organization that you do not share beliefs with. it is unfair that those should claim to be Catholic when they are telling people incorrect doctrines of real Catholics.
-
@o0face4radio0o Also, a Catholic whos Pro Choice cannot claim to be Catholic. The reason that we have so many other Christian faiths is because they chose to believe the doctrines that they wanted to, and rejected the ones that they didnt like. This is not the philosophy of a Catholic. Catholics may not pick and choose as they please....(see next comment)

@o0face4radio0o the Pope does not "make up" Catholic "rules," as you say. The Pope has papal infallibility when speaking on matters of faith & morals, meaning that he can not make mistakes while talking about Catholic doctrine. He doesnt just "make up" rules that sound Catholic. He is guided by the Holy Spirit to say the correct thing. Of course, this is Catholic faith, so dont tell me to prove it. But you did claim to have been Catholic. You obviously were not educated on the Catholic doctrine.

The President of the United States of Americas job is not to be a spiritual leader. The president is responsible for the defense, energy, economy and countless other things that do no include religious issues. That is why we have the pope and bishops this country was founded on religious freedom, and to be honest I would feel uncomfortable with Obama making subjects like this his priority. I want to focus on the things I listed. I am a pro life catholic and I will be voting for him again in 2012

John Mccain and Palin support the death penalty! Read Matthew 25.
Perhaps those Catholics you cite actually believe in the freedom of religion and the freedom of choice - actual American values. So individual Catholic citizens can choose to do as they wish regarding abortion, as can the rest of us. Otherwise, you essentially force all of us to live by Catholic doctrine. I'm glad that many Catholics in our government understand the crucial distinction between their personal religious lives and their civic responsibilities in a religiously pluralistic society.

@bluv6 "can choose to do as they wish regarding abortion, as can the rest of us. Otherwise, you essentially force all of us to live by Catholic doctrine"
They choose to be Catholic - but want to make up their own rules. it doesn't work that way - if they don't agree with the Doctrine of the Church, they should not call themselves Catholic. There are plenty of churches that welcome pro-aborts and allow your personal interpretation of the religion. Catholicism isn't one of them.

I said; "the Republican party is; against EFCA, suspended the Davis-Bacon act during hurricane Katrina, is against raising the minimum wage, wants to eliminate the tax on inheritated estates, strips out wage and labor laws from free trade agreements, blocked caps on credit card interest rates and wants to eliminate social security."
I thought you would come back at me with an insult rather than any intelligent policy based argument. You couldn't prove me wrong so you coped out instead.

I won't argue point by point with you - there is no sense arguing with someone who has such one-sided views. It is a waste of time. Why do you even bother watching Conservative videos? You know your mind is already made up, so you aren't watching for educational purposes. So, obviously, you watch in order to harass the people who make the videos.
