Mr. Hooper sings (or attempts to sing) "One of these things is not like the other" to the kids in the store. However, he uses the line "three of these groups" instead of the usual "One of these things" line. Can you guess which group is different?

  • Oh at the flood of memories this unleashes!

    They were my extended family......Gordon,Susan,Bob,Luis,Maria,Mister

    Hooper.

And the puppet characters! Bert,Ernie,Grover,Hairy,Cookie Monster,Oscar,Big Bird,Snuffy,The Count and I

don't have time or space to type them all;but they

were all special and I warmly remember them all!

Thanks to Jim Henson for putting all this together!

And mstatz,THANKS for sharing this with the world, feels refreshing to me!

  • I don't care if Mr.Hooper could sing or not! I always liked Mr.Hooper. He would have been cool to have as a Grandpa. I miss him very much!

  • There was 1 Hooper skit where he sang a song called " When I WAs Little As You Are." and showed a book that had old photos of NYC when he was a kid.

    He sand it quite well.

In this he just says the worrds without really singing and this was not the only time he did that.

I had no idea that the words of this song were changed for politically correct reasons. Very interesting indeed!

Yes, we certainly do miss Mr. Hooper! He was a great guy!

  • he should of used his empty whiskey bottles to do this song instead of candy. would of been much better

  • I sing this song frequently

  • @LHZZ12MM - I doubt it, why is there a chinese boy and black girl playing the game if it was racism???

  • I LOVED Mr. Hooper and cried when he died. I watched the episode when that happened even though I was well past the age of watching Sesame Street.
