Dota 2 Showcase Intro: Beginner's Guide to Dota 2

This is an introduction video to my series of Showcase videos for the Dota 2 heroes. I decided to do this one beforehand since there's no point in showing new players how to play particular heroes if they don't know how to play the game itself. Hope you learn something!

i played original dota, but havent played in a while, so i just need somewhere to find builds for heroes and few tips on using stuff such as courier,etc

@DeFy18 Since Dota 2 has the same gameplay as DotA on WC3, I'd suggest looking at guides for original dota characters - a good place to start is on the official DotA community website Playdota, there is a lot of hero guides here.

An important tip to know is that F1 selects your hero, double tapping it centres the camera on your hero, while F3 selects the courier, using this you can easily maneuver between them while buying. Also learn the hotkeys (EG: Y and T on the courier for delivery).

Hey Mulkyz, do you think you can make a guide on how to get a grip of Dota if you come from LoL? I have a hard time understanding the pace and strategy of Dota 2, HoN, etc.

@Oblivion4700 I do plan on eventually making a general Tips & Trips video for things like hotkeys, warding positions, juking etc. I can't really help with getting a 'grasp' of the game since that's really just done through playing and getting the feel of it. I would suggest playing with a community/group of friends in practice matches if you feel uncomfortable with the game. Also play support-ish sort of heroes (Veno, Tide, Dazzle for example) - Just make sure they aren't too easy to kill.

if you could point the mouse over the shops and say ..."look here is the shop"...it will be great , am just looking at the map and trying to see what are u talking about .

other than that i like your style of presentation. :)
