I did my first 10x10 the other day. My legs are still sore on monday (3 days post). I never really do high volume training so it was definitely a big shock to the system. My legs are getting bigger

  • This Depth in squat is great, but if you new the actual principle's of how to train with GVT you certainly wouldn't use the stretch reflex at those speed. The Time under tension (TUT) per set should be calculated and identical, with a minimum of 4-7 sec per repetition to make the greatest use for hypertrophy out of this program. This is a great program if done properly, but can vary results from each individual due to their fibre make-up.

  • @StarkeRevo that's true Steve but I'm not a big fan of the slow stuff, especially with how light I would have had to have gone to be able to do 4-7 sec reps. I'm sure I got some growth out of them as it was but I agree it's not true GVT at this tempo. My recovery capacity isn't up to GVT at the prescribed intensities.

  • this is the worst training routin in history! if someone is still gaining muscles after 3 mounth with this shit, tell me!

  • @Eriikk82 I prefer to use if you 2-3 sessions maximum over 2/3 weeks. If you get through 3 months of it at the intensities prescribed I think you'd get good gains. For an athletic population Charles has a modified routine.

  • you need to use 4020 tempo

  • @MaltLoafKidd yeah that would be strict GVT but I got plenty of soreness and some growth I'm pretty sure too.. I've only done the workout once!! Not sure when I'll try again!

  • i got a question i cant really do back squats cuz they hurt my lower back alot can i do front squats insted

  • I just did this on Thursday, my legs were SORE AS HELL! Very effective training method.

  • excellent! I do this too!

  • I agree speed is the way to go when lifting even with this method its what I do. I see most people lift this way power lifters teach speed. And actually most bb I see train fast. Slow is good to do also and in all actuality u should incorporate all aspects of training to always shock muscles

  • Romanian people are better then German people

  • @MaltLoafKidd blah blah blah... tempo schmepo. Do what works. It's all about stress and adaptation. If it works, it's "right".
