Bush Shoe protest

President Bushs press conference in Iraq—in which he had two shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist—has created waves of media attention in the United States. Notwithstanding the small crowd, the media was out in full force for a shoe-themed demonstration in front of the White House this week. A small group of protestors from the activist group CODE PINK expressed their displeasure with President Bushs policies by writing the name of Iraqis who have lost their lives in the Iraq war on the sides of shoes. To add injury to insult, a mannequin of the president was pelted with these shoes. Raza Naqvi witnessed the spectacle and He reports from Washington.
