@eusebino , yes it's coming together. "black voices", and i think i remember you from first baptist. the minister there, levert taylor, came to mt olive in arlington and served many years with my father, julius brown.

@julianbrown1092 ....I used to direct the first Gospel Choir that they had at First Baptisit Church. However, I believe that there was a different pastor there at the time......  Do you have a photo here???

This is an incredible video. My father, Rev Julius Brown, died in October of 2010. We sang this song at his funeral as we done at the funerals of his brother, Cleophus, his sister, Patricia, and Mother, Helen. Back in the 40s, the family used to sing this song in a group that travelled really close to Nehemiah's home town, in Glasow, Virginia. This song and video hit really close to my heart.

i don't know of any close relatives in charlottesville, although i went to college and law school at uva. we have lots of family in the farmville, cumberland and pamplin areas, and also in the bedford and christiansburg area. i will try to post "by and by" from my father's funeral. we brought the house down.
