Siskel and Ebert review the 1987 neo-noir crime film, The Big Easy starring Dennis Quaid and Ellen Barkin. Both gave it thumbs up and liked it because they loved the settings of New Orleans in the film, and found the story to be original.
I'm not going to say this movie is offensive to us New Orleanians. I'm just going to say that when it played in theaters here we laughed ourselves down the aisle and out the door.
"I'm always excited to get in the back door."
