  • @tk7000st: I disagree. i listened to the Beginning of Jochum. Knowing that the beginning cellopart is signed with "lang gezogen" and piano in the Beginning, same as the Violinmelody, Jochum to me is far to quick too loud in the crescendi. I know what you are missing here, but its celibidache ;) listen to other recordings, they are great and always live recordings!

  • Grande , caro Celibidache . Io ti ho scoperto per caso, dirigevi Sherazarde ... il sentimento, il romanticismo, che pervadono le tue performance toccano i cuori di chi ti ascolta .......

  • Keiner phrasiert so fantastisch. Jede Stimme, die man hören muss, hört man

auch. Er war ohne Zweifel DER Bruckner Dirigent.

  • @akroasis10 i know...............because people do not recognize true art.

  • I don't want to be the one who criticize his music, but comparing with the same opening measures played Eugen Jochum, this Prologed legato without any accentuation is not Bruckner to my ears.

Though, thank for posting music. I understand now why I don't have a single CD by this maestro. He will be a great conductor if he conducts Sibelius but not Bruckner.

  • Ein unglaublich musikalischer Mensch.

  • This man was the leader of the Berliner Philarmoniker for 5 Years - (1945.1950), in destroyed Berlin after war, sharing afterwards as only conductor with Wilhelm Furtwängler until his death - Celibidache performed over 500 concerts with them!!, celebrated triumphs and was considered by the berliner and european press as a genius, then Karajan came and his memory was arised for 40 years - why???

  • Einzigartig...unvergeßlich!!!!

    Danke fürs Posten, Gertrud

  • Super!! Prof. Passin spielt Oboe auch mit, das war ein unglaubliches historisches Konzert.

  • Its so good, thank you for this, llMondeClassico,
