Waiakea Intermediate Band - Band Fest 2007 - Tsunami

This is Waikea Intermediate at Band Fest 2007 in Hilo, Hawaii playing a piece called Tsunami. This piece gave them first place, while the Hilo Intermediate Band, which is the band I'm in, came second. It's a good arrangement.

It really pisses everybody off when you hilo people think you're better than everybody else. Don't get me wrong, a lot of my friends come from hilo. But a lot of you guys are assholes too. I, along with many others, think that this video was great! Waiakea did a fantastic job. I don't see a video of hilo playing this song so don't trash talk if you can't prove that you're better!! you're theory that Waiakea sucks has never been proven to this day so until that happens, keep the bull to yourself

i play in intermidiate band and we have a tiny one all we have is 6 trumpets 1 baratone 4 saxaphones 3 clarinets and 2 flutes and we dont play in competitions like this we just have 2 concerts and get to march with highschoolers for the last football game

yes I was flat!! If you looked closely, I was trying to adjust... didnt work out so well. And for my solo, I was so mad I couldnt hit the high note. And if I remember correctly, I think it was an Ab I had to hit on a piccolo. Not that easy for a 8th grader... It was... my 1st year in piccolo. So I think I did pretty good for making a squeak for it!:D

thank you! I was in this video, I was the piccolo and I was a bit(way) out of tune, but if you watched I was trying really hard to tune, and our band worked really hard to practice this song. I think we did really well after many mannnnnyy days of hard practice. I still remember and this was like waht 2 years ago?

we played this last year as a middle school band, and this is probably about where we were after a month of work. i was the only one that ever did the double tonguing there right tho....

I didnt hear the trumpets at 4:23 playing what the woodwinds played at 4:03. Its suppossed to be the same melody, but not in there. Its fun to play too especially when theres not much other noise and you should really hear it.
