7 Things You Shouldn't Say On A Date (That I Actually Said)

Getting back into the dating world wasn't the seamless transition I thought it would be. Sharing the lessons I've learned so they don't become someone else's 'oops'.

For some reason, I don't think Patti Stanger would approve.

Oh yeah, #8) I should keep how many Bravo TV shows I watch to myself. Talking about any of the Real Housewives in extent probably isn't smart.

It's ok to talk about politics on a date. Some people are very passionate about their political beliefs. Also people of similar political beliefs are more likely to stay together over the long haul.

@thecrooksareinoffice I totally agree. And in fact, I'd rather find out what a person believes up front, cause if they're not on the same page with me on some issues, I can guarantee it would be a deal breaker.

7). Cats are AWESOME. We can then talk about how we much we both love Youtube videos. I can then say I'm allergic to them but really love them. BAM! You're learning something about me.

If I was on that date with you, I'd be swooned. You don't need to be fancy or "go by the book of how to go on a date". You just need to be yourself. If you are right for each other then it will be romantic and nice, even if you just argue about Star Wars.

5). Discussing your type is a dangerous thing because no one really should have a 'type'. But I could actually say that to you, so even if we walk away only as friends, I've taught you something valuable.

6). Random things about myself are the things that I talk about when on dates. The girls that I end up staying with are the ones who find them interesting, so it's actually a good way to test whether that person is right for you or not - whether they care about who you really are day-to-day.
