If pillars kept Hylden in the banishment how is it possible that in Soul Reaver 1 after the collapse of the binding when Kain decided to not sacrifice himself there aren't any Hyldens ?

@DripinYelaMadnz Kain cast Raziel into the abyss of the dead because due to acts of transgression, Raziel surpassed Kain in power, and because Kain had been betrayed so many times before, he couldn't risk Raziel turning on him, so he killed Raziel before he could kill him
-
@Danny77uk Raziel didn't have free will when he was "alive"... he only gained free will because he died in the abyss and was ressurected, an unique ressurection as they say, that freed him from the wheel of fate, thus gaining free will.
As for Kain, i think he knew what Raziel trully was when he showed up with his wings, just like the Ancient vampires and so he casted his little coin once more.

That was funny. At 2:20 you jumped and hit the wall. I was like That is going to leave a bruise.

XDDDDD

It is unknown, though considering their magical nature. It is assumed to the heavens

Something else. Listen during this video, he says that he chooses the strongest of his breed and casts them into the abyse as his final move in fates game, or something along those lines. Raziel evolved wings first so he must have been the strongest. Here go, he was to be cast in.
-
Why does he even throw Raziel down in the abyss? Is it because of his wings or something else?
-
Because SR1 took place in a different timeline. Everything changed at the end of SR2.
was it out of anger he kills raziel or was he doing it because he thought Raziel would eventually save the world?

We can theorize that he did it with the foreknowledge of what would transpire, and his actions after the fact surely point to this - lack of surprise when Raziel meets him again, satisfaction in his smile when the Soul Reaver is destroyed, etc. - but at the time, he certainly appeared angry (judging by the SR1 intro) so it may have been a mix of the two. Maybe he didn't discover what would happen until after he had cast Raziel into the abyss, as he certainly had plenty of time to contemplate.
