@ 0:53 -Yes, Clinton escalated the Somali ground presence (by deploying the Deltas against Aidid) but it was Bush senior who initiated Operation Restore Hope. Clinton just happened to inherit Bush's foreign policy and it was the Republicans who pressured Clinton to withdraw (you can easily find "maverick" McCain pressuring the Clinton administration to leave Somalia on YouTube).

His solution is excellent. Let the shipping vessels carry whatever weapons they want to defend themselves from the pirates. It's a no brainer. The US should not police the world--the empire is already in steep decline
