man i love the cello

you're an idiot

colonelcobb, that would be false. for every known piece for every instrument, technique is a vital element. you, being an idiot, might say that emotion should overrule technicality in this piece. by contrast, technique and emotion are equally important, so stop being like all of those youtube users that think technique is a minor element.

Excellent !!!!

I agree. It sounds great, and that's all that really matters here.
-
Damn the technicality! This piece is about emotion! And he nailed it!

Kurtyoungblood ... take this as encouragement; If you can play this piece better, then post a video reply of yourself playing it. You would be one of the best 17 year old kids I have ever heard play the cello! Best of luck to you.
Its always the same on youtube: If you make a comment which is anyhow negative some people come and say "do it better"; but thats not the sense of critism, especially not if the critism is constructive (Kurtyoungblood was constructive I guess)..........
Don't understand me wrong, I like this performance very much, it was only some general stuff about critsim.

Everytime you get a dotted eighth note and then a sixteenth (EVERYTIME) You play it like a triplet! It just bugged me.
