  • I am actually quite disturbed by how each of you thinks, This is a kind man who witnessed a side of history that is rarely discussed, and was willing to openly share that history.

For good or bad it this is about history and deserves to be remembered, I love reading the honest debates over history, but when you blindly attack for the sake of attacking I take a slight twinge of satisfaction in having access to that little "block user" button.

    Keep it civil.

  • I'm not going to get in the middle of this Troll fest, so I'm just going to block all of you trolls. This is what I get for not checking comments for a month.

  • Most people don't realize that the Nazis were not the only ones to commit war crimes during WW2. Stalin ordered the executions of millions of people, and the Americans killed millions in bombing raids. War is a terrible thing, and its better to learn about these things so history will not repeat itself.

  • @ModernBabylon is it really a "war crime" to follow orders diring a period which you would be shot for insubordination if you dod not? the level of "total war" fought on the east is something few can fathom today. also russia did not sign any convention pacts. it looks as if this gentleman is a part of a reenacting troop.

  • Oh shit, he was part of the SS.

  • @VigisKane well thanks for supporting my point?

  • @ModernBabylon

waffen SS was approx 385,000 at its hieght, the SS in all was over 1 million strong

  • For a brief moment i thought he was using his original ss uniform,it isnt right?

  • @5aq i'm aware of that, i'm german.

  • I'm not Jewish but one of my ancestors are holocaust victims. My great grandfather was a soviet soldier. I respect this man. This man fought for his country. This man deserves respect. All my grandfathers were ww2 veterans from Ukraine.

  • @Rag0 the ss wasn't millions strong, the waffen ss at it's zenith was about 500.000. but with that correction, yes, i do.

  • @ModernBabylon stereotyping again. you think millions of soldiers commited warcrimes, srsly?
