  • He's not saying it comes from hip hop but making note of the erasure of blacks developing house music. It's a fact that most whites are ignorant of. I'd also like to add that Disco & Italian Disco had more of an influence on the early stages of house than Kraftwerk, who's output influenced electro but certainly not house.

There's a documentary from the UK that covers this called Pump Up The Volume. You can view it via Google Video.

  • This song and King Sun's was tight. Latifah's was good too. I didn't know Craig had a video to this. I been bumpin this song forever. My other cut off that album is the kingpin.

  • this was before my time, but I am familiar with Craig G's exploits with the Juice Crew. I read somewhere that this song killed his career, so I wanted to check it out. I can now see why. This is awful...

  • awsome song

  • this was my sh***** back in the day !! i would love to see hip-house come back. i remember when rappers would take risk for the sake of creativity instead of trying to be like everyone else. big daddy kane, special ed,queen latifah, rob base, doug lazy just to name a few all had house joints. they all had appreciation for all types of music too.
