I'm not sure why you are telling me all this as i have my own helis and i have been flying them for a good few years now,but i'm sure someone might read this and find it helpfull.

Great video...good info. Yeah, the CP helis do take some setup, but there is a ton of info on the web as to how to do that. See my video "Getting Into RC Helis"

I meant to respond to you, but instead I accidentally put it under startazz comment.
Go with a larger heli 500 if you can afford it and afford the parts, or at least a 400 size...no smaller

I would start with a bigger heli, at least a 400/450 size. The smaller single rotor helis are going to be more difficult to fly.
The bigger the heli, the easier it is to fly...I'm not sure about starting with fixed pitch...
