The "He's a stud, she's a slut" double standard exists for a reason. If a man wants to get laid, he needs to work his ass off. If a woman wants to get laid, she just has to be good-looking.

Regarding the "wage gap", let me ask you something. If women are paid less than men for doing the same job, why does anybody hire men anymore? Wouldn't it be cheaper to hire only women?

How do opportunities for sexual intercourse relate to how society views the number of sexual partners a person has? If a man sleeps with every woman he dates, he is viewed more favorably than a woman who sleeps with every man she dates.

As far as the question about why hire men if women can do the same job. The reason is that women are not viewed as effective as men in certain jobs (mechanic, plumber, president).

Regarding dating, women must - Determine if the guy is interested in her or sex. - Assert her needs for security in the date location. - Decide if she wants to pay for part of the date and how hard she wants to fight to be allowed to. - Make arrangements with friends for "emergency calls" if date goes poorly. - Shave legs - Put on restrictive, uncomfortable clothing. - Put on makeup. - Wear heels. - Appear interesting, intelligent, yet vulnerable. - Worry about sending the "wrong signals"

Also, men don't just work at those jobs that they're viewed as more competent than women at. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the average full-time working man works three hours per week longer than the average full-time working woman. Men are also willing to commute greater distances, relocate more often, and have more exposure to the elements.

The reason for this is that men focus primarily on making money, and women focus more on having balanced lives (not that that's a bad thing).

Men work longer hours because, even in 2009, women do most of the child-rearing, housecleaning, grocery shopping, and meal planning. Women are expected to sit up all night with a colicky infant and still be in a business suit at 9:00 the next morning. Women have to decide if they are willing to take time off of work to have a child. If a woman has children, she cannot take the same job opportunities her husband/boyfriend can because she needs her friends/family to support her and her child.

@FaithfulHermit It really isn't that big a deal. Takes me 10 minutes or less to shave my legs/underarms. Men and women have, if not all, many of the same fears/concerns/issues/etc. Many men are afraid of rejection. Women may be ridiculed by other female peers about sex. Yes, there is definitely still a bit of a double standard, but get over it. This feminist bullshit is so stupid.
