I recognize the laughing character as being,"Laughing Sal" who was once at the entrance at San Francisco's amusement park,"Playland" this amusement park is featured in the Orson Welles/Rita Hayworth movie THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI.

I am just old enough to remember these devices in actual operation in the environment they were intended for. (not in Museums)
I saw, and played, some of them as a young child in various arcades (back when arcades took pennies).
Yeah, I am that old (62 yrs).
I do remember that Spring Lake Park in Oklahoma City had a lot of these games even into the early 60's.
I would chew my leg off to get hold of a Bear Shoot in working order.
I know a guy who has one but I would have to kill him to get it.

scary freaky
thanks so much man; when I was last there, some kids kept playing this damn machine that made it impossible to hear any of the player tunes... Wonderful place. Now come to vegas to visit the international pinball hall of fame! Cheers!

Oh man, if you like Player Machines you should really visit "House on the Rock" in Wisconsin. I had never seen so many, or any so intricate.
