I use Zinc based batteries from Rayovac for things that lay around too long or from little use. I mean they are great for flashlights and such. 1 dollar for 2 d cells/c cells, or 4 AA/AAA for 1 dollar as well from Walmart. I dont mess with Rechargeable except for my wireless gaming headset. Alkalines have ruined my electronics for the last time.

I agree with this scam, the battery companys dont want you to save more money by buying there recharge batterys. This is how they make up the differance in there profits. They want your money as much of it. And notice its not a green, green color, its a neon color so its hard to notice. Thats how they scam. Great Review

Thanks, great info !

Ouch, that capacity is way to low.......My rechargeable D batts are rated for 10,000 mah @ 1.2 volts. They also weigh a bit more than my standard alkaline D cells. There was another user on here with your same energizer cells that took it apart. Inside it's not exactly a AA cell, but some sort of shorter / fatter type cell.

I probably would have been curious enough to have cut open the D battery to see why it was so much lighter.

Like the Knob Creek cough medicine there. I have been telling folks for years that they are wasting money on D cell stuff when you can get C or AA products.

For ArtisanTony: The composition of the battery determines the voltage, not the mAh capacity. Alkalines and Nickel Metal Hydrides (NMIH) run at a nominal 1.5 Volts until they lose the charge. Lithium Ion batteries run at 1.2 Volts. The voltages apply across all sizes given they are the same composition. The current capacity in milliampere hours is not the same for every battery, size, compositon, or manufacturer. Buyer beware. hnobleh

You forgot one of the most battery converter sizes. AAA to AA converters.
